My husband and I, along with our therapy dogs, Charlie and Ollie, have visited Blue Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care every week for the last 4 and 1/2 years.As we sign in for a visit, we are warmly greeted by the staff and concierge who inform us of any new residents who would like a private therapy dog visit.As we walk throughout the facility, we are always impressed with the cleanliness of the building. Everything is fresh and tidy. The residents whether in the hallways, their rooms, memory care, or large group areas are always smiling and happy. For the last four and 1/2 years, we have enjoyed visiting our friends at Blue Ridge Assisted Living each week, and I believe we have seen every aspect of this amazing home like setting, where the residents are enjoying time with their friends, relaxing in the Bistro, or enjoying their private apartments. It is obvious they are truly cared for and content. We even visit in the physical therapy room where residents are laughing and enjoying their workouts.It is truly a joy to visit Blue Ridge Assisted Living, and we often recommend them to our friends who are considering assisted living life for their loved ones.

This facility is such a beautiful place. The staff are very bright and welcoming and the overall decor and environment just makes everything feel like home. The meals are incredible and the kitchen staff is always so patient and understanding with the sweet residents. The residents are very social and the sweetest people I have ever met.

Love coming to visit my friend knowing he is cared for. This facility is so nice and clean. I am greeted by the nicest and sweetest person, Cheryl.. who works at the front desk. She makes my day.

There are many staff members who have been kind, helpful and attentive to my father-in-law who has been a resident for 7 years. We are especially grateful to Cheryl at the front desk. She is always smiling, friendly and ready to help with anything. She truly cares for the residents and goes above and beyond to meet their needs.

I toured this community with my grandparents and we had a wonderful experience! The administrator, Ashton Arnold, showed us around, and what was really impressive is she knew all the staff and residents we came across by name. Other places we looked at didn't seem as friendly in comparison. That along with the cozy appearance of the building, it all felt very homey! We toured during lunch and it looked and smelled so good. We got to meet the dining director, Mark, who took time to answer our questions because my grandpa is diabetic and eats a special diet. My grandparents don't need to leave their home yet, but we'll absolutely come here again when they do.

COMMENTS BY: Suzanne ThomasonThe timing came for our Mother to be admitted to a hands-on medical care facility after having been in critical care in 2 hospitals for 2 broken hips in less than a week and all of her crises happened during the pandemic which turned a nightmare into an even greater horror story since due to caseload overload she was placed on the COVID wing of both hospitals for unrelated COVID issues and both hospitals were of the utmost professional care. That is another review on another website!Everyone at the 2 hospitals were absolutely wonderful and this treatment continued as Blue Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care-Discovery went on to become our second home!It all began with a single phone call to Cindy Querry who took a stressful load off our minds to get the entry of our loved one in place on the calendar of Blue Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. These decisions have the best outcome when you involve the professionals!Chef-appointed, delicious meals arrive ON TIME EVERY DAY by Chef Roger, and, Care Management and MedTech caseworkers dash off to answer calls to patient rooms to assist patient needs while looking around to see what else they can do while attending the one requested need. I will run out of space to type all of our family's glistening comments about the utmost quality of care provided by these MedTechs, Care Managers, Caseworkers and Assistants as well as the Director of Nursing in Memory Care-Heather Tammen, Nurses and Assistants of every kind (Alice, Sydney, Haley, Jess, Brittany, Casey, Courtney, Bridgett, Dee, Hayleigh, Stacy, Gail, Courtney, Elizabeth, Jamie, Alex, Emily, Kaala, Kinsey, Barbara).......Add to that long list, Housekeeping (OH WHAT A CREW, Joyce, Rose, Pam, and Junior) they will drop what they are doing to see that you get what you need too! Even a plate of food and oftentimes a cup of hot coffee! Yes, without hesitation in response to anyone who inquires, we know that every staff member is an asset to the purpose of this care facility!Let me go back to the front door of this outstanding, exceptional place. Cheryl, Kimberly, Laura, and Shirley will each greet you with a beautiful smile and welcome you, by your name, as you enter the door. If it's your first visit to the facility, they help you with the pandemic rules and policies put rightfully in place to protect residents, patients in the Memory Care unit, staff members, as well as all visitors who must be masked, screened, and registered. Upon registering, they will point you in the right direction or walk you to your destination within the building!From there, you will notice how clean and organized the entire homelike setting is for the use of residents and patients - the attention to detail IS in the details!Management is visible at all times, friendly, with a wave and a welcome as you traverse the large facility. You feel a glowing sense of a well run operation by Director, Faron Barton whose service time is very much appreciated.Of couse, something must be said about the 360 degree mountain view all around the well landscaped grounds. So very well managed during all 4 seasons.Oh, did I mention? Chef Roger has a garden to supply fresh vegetables which arrive on lunch and dinner plates to our loved ones while in season. So, if you take a stroll along the walkway that spans the length of this facility, you will find your way to Chef Roger's garden in the correct season.

This is a great facility for anybody who has friends or family that suffer from dementia or Alzheimer. Whether you live close or afar. There your family would be loved and treated with respect. Mainly because of the workers that are around. It is always a privilege for my choir to be able to sing. Yesterday was even more special because of Easter. Being able to bring smiles to the residents faces usually always bring tears to our eyes. Thank you Hayley and Chantel for always making us feel welcomed. We know it’s never easy dealing with them during sundowners time. Yet you two make it look like it’s no problem. I said it before and I will say it again. You two are anointed by The Lord All Mighty Himself. May He continue to bless your journeys throughout life. Hope to see you soon to spread more of Gods love. Thank you!

The staff at Blue Ridge really does care. You won’t find that at most assisted living places. When I leave my mom in their care I feel at peace knowing she is in the best place and she is getting the best care. Feeling that is priceless!

My mom moved into the Blue Ridge Assisted living and Memory care 4.5 years ago! She LOVES living there! Great place, great Staff, and the facility is beautiful! She is HAPPY and well cared for there!!!

I thank the Lord for this facility. It has been a true blessing to me being here, seeing my friends and making new ones. There is always a friendly face and the care givers are so nice. my family knows that i am well taken care off day and night here. I 100 percent recommend this retirement community for anyone that is looking

I have made so many friends while being here and it truly makes a difference in my life. To have so many people greet me in the hallways always make my day. The staff that work here are always friendly and help me any time of day or night. I love animals and the therapy dog Charlie that comes in every Wednesday is always a highlight to my week. I highly recommend anyone looking for a retirement community to come to Blue Ridge Assisted Living.
